My wife, Lisa, and I have been married 23.5 years. Luc, 8, lives with us. Zach, 22, and JillAnn, 18, are off at college much too soon for my liking.

The doctrine of original sin is surely more humbling to man than the opposite: And I know not what honour we can pay to God, if we think man came out of His hands in the condition wherein he is now.

Wow John! Your daughter won’t disclose where she is going to college (not that it matters) but I think they have their hands full. She is good. This post got me to reading her others, especially the ones from Almost Christian. We need to turn her loose on the UMC. You’ve done a good job modeling the faith for her so that she can make it her own.
God gets the credit on this one, Ed.
The daughter here. Thanks so much for your compliments – they’re very humbling. I pray God can use me in our denomination. I just wish I could do more. More than anything, though, I’m grateful for having a family that has always taught me the love of Christ by example.
